The prompt for this was to rebrand a business that was having identity issues. I chose to do Port City Java based out of Wilmington, North Carolina. They are a coffee roastery and café that features mainly waterfront locations. I wanted to make sure to keep the feeling light and sunny to tie into coffee often being a morning purchase. I chose the wave patter in the lip of the coffee mug to represent the unique waterfront atmosphere of PCJ. I also wanted a fairly simple design as the atmosphere of PCJ's is very relaxing and welcoming.
